How you can pay, how your details are protected, and what to do when a payment will not go through.
How you can pay
Checkout is processed through PayPal, which covers two options:
- Your PayPal balance or linked account — sign in and confirm as normal.
- Credit or debit card — you do not need a PayPal account. Choose the card option at checkout and enter your details on PayPal’s own secure form.
All prices on this site are listed and charged in US dollars (USD). If your card is denominated in another currency, your bank converts it at their rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. That fee is your bank’s, not ours, and we never see it.
Security
Every page on this site — not just checkout — is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so anything you type cannot be read in transit.
Payment details are captured by the payment provider directly. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded plus the billing name and email; we never receive your full card number, expiry or security code. There is no card data on our servers to lose.
Order verification
Orders are verified before a licence key is released. This is deliberate: digital goods are an obvious fraud target, and releasing keys instantly to unverified orders is how stores end up selling stolen licences. Most orders clear automatically in seconds. Occasionally we may contact you to confirm a detail before releasing the key.
When your payment is declined
A decline almost always comes from your bank, not from us. Common causes:
- The billing address entered does not match the one your bank has on file
- Your bank has blocked an online or international transaction as a precaution
- Insufficient funds, or a daily limit reached
- An expired card, or a mistyped expiry or security code
If a payment fails, no charge is made. Try the card option instead of the account option — or the reverse — and if it still will not go through, call your bank and ask them to authorise the transaction. We cannot see why your bank declined, so they are the fastest route.
Pending charges you did not expect
If a payment fails you may still briefly see a pending authorisation on your statement. That is a hold, not a charge, and your bank releases it automatically — usually within a few business days. If a hold has not cleared after five business days, contact us with the date and amount and we will confirm from our side.
Receipts and invoices
An order confirmation is emailed automatically to the address you enter at checkout. Need a proper invoice with a company name or VAT details on it? Ask us and we will issue one.
Refunds
Refunds are covered in full by our Refund Policy, which gives you a 180-day window. Approved refunds go back to whatever you paid with, and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
