What cookies we set, why they exist, and how to switch off the ones you do not want.
What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It cannot run programs, cannot read other files on your computer and cannot carry a virus. Its job is to remember something between page loads — that you are signed in, or that there are three items in your cart.
The four categories we use
When you first arrive you will see a consent banner with these categories. You can accept all, reject the non-essential ones, or open Customize and pick individually.
Strictly necessary
These make the site function at all: keeping your cart contents, holding your session while you check out, and remembering your cookie choices so you are not asked on every page. Without them the shop cannot work, so they cannot be switched off — and under GDPR they do not require consent.
Functional
These remember preferences that make the site nicer to use, and support features like content sharing and feedback tools. Turning them off will not break the store, but some conveniences will reset each visit.
Analytics
These tell us how the site is actually used — which pages people visit, how they arrived, where they give up. We use this to fix what is broken and improve what is not. It is reported in aggregate; we are not interested in you personally.
Marketing
These are set by advertising platforms to measure whether an ad led to a visit or a purchase, and to avoid showing you the same ad repeatedly. Decline these and you will still see ads — they will simply be less relevant.
Third parties that may set cookies
Some cookies come from services we rely on rather than from us directly. These include our payment provider (to process checkout securely and detect fraud), our analytics tooling, and advertising platforms where we run campaigns. Those providers act under their own privacy policies, and the marketing and analytics ones only load after you consent.
Changing your mind
Your choice is not permanent. You can:
- Reopen the cookie preferences on this site and change any category
- Clear cookies for this site in your browser, which resets the banner entirely
- Block or delete cookies globally in your browser settings — every major browser supports this under Privacy or Security
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the cart and checkout working. That is a limitation of how browsers and shopping carts work, not a choice we made.
Updates
If we add or remove a service that sets cookies, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Material changes will also re-trigger the consent banner so you can make a fresh choice.
