Your rights under California and other US state privacy laws, and how to exercise them.
Why this page exists
California’s CCPA/CPRA — and similar laws in states including Virginia, Colorado and Connecticut — give you the right to tell a business not to sell or share your personal information. Those laws define “sale” broadly: it can include passing identifiers to an advertising platform for targeting, even when no money changes hands. We would rather give you a clear switch than argue about definitions.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your name, email, address or phone number to anyone
- We do not sell or rent customer lists to data brokers
- We do not disclose your payment details to third parties — we never hold them in the first place
- We do not share your purchase history for anyone else’s marketing
What may count as “sharing”
If you consent to marketing cookies, advertising platforms may receive an identifier that tells them a visit or purchase happened. That is how we measure whether an ad worked. Under the broad statutory definition this can qualify as sharing — so we let you turn it off, whether or not the law strictly requires it in your state.
How to opt out
Two routes, both free and neither requiring an account:
1. Cookie preferences — instant
Open the cookie preferences on this site and switch Marketing off, then save. This stops advertising identifiers being shared from your browser immediately. If you have already declined non-essential cookies, this is already done.
2. Email us — for a formal request
Email support@webshoppros.com with the subject “Do Not Sell My Info”. Include the email address you used to order, so we can locate your records. You may also call +1 (888) 703-9239.
We will confirm receipt and action the request within 15 business days, and in any case within the timeframe your state’s law requires. We may need to verify your identity first — that check protects you from somebody else making requests in your name.
Your other rights
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and where it came from
- Access a copy of it
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete it, subject to records we must legally retain, such as tax and transaction records
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
That last one matters and we will state it plainly: opting out will not change your prices, your delivery times, your refund rights or the support you receive. Nothing about your experience gets worse because you exercised a privacy right.
Authorised agents
You can have somebody submit a request on your behalf. We will ask for written proof that you authorised them, plus verification of your own identity, before we act.
